Japan Mini Incentive:Over 100 lucky distributors receive 5-star treatment at the Kagaya Hot Spring Resort, Japan’s “#1 Hotel for 28 Consecutive Years”

Together as ONE: A SkyQuestCom family photo with our Japanese distributors

If you were to ask anybody about their personal experience at Kagaya, Japan’s most famous hot spring resort, you can expect replies that would certainly be filled with lots of “oohs” and “aahs”!

Voted as Japan’s “#1 Hotel for 28 Consecutive Years”, Kagaya was the perfect venue for Japan’s latest mini incentive. For 2 full days, over 100 of our lucky distributors received 5-star treatment at the luxurious resort that overlooks a majestic ocean. Also joining in the fun were our CEO - Mr. Richard Tan, Singapore’s GM - Mr. Terence Tan and Japan’s GM - Mr. Pasquale Kobayashi.

With our distributors are: Richard (front row, second from left), Kobayashi-san (front row, second from right) and Singapore's GM - Mr. Terence Tan (far right).
To success: Kobayashi-san, Terence and our distributors give the thumbs up!

Smile! Kobayashi-san sharing a photo opportunity with our distributors

Like a segment from right out of the show Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, our distributors sampled expensive traditional Japanese meals that were fit for royalty. These special meals were beautifully presented on special ceramic dishes and were served personally by a waitress dressed in a traditional kimono.

Fine dining: Waiting eagerly for a sumptuous traditional Japanese dinner

In a guest appearance, Kagaya’s Director of Sales delivered an inspiring speech on Success – how his hotel consistently remained at #1 for 28 consecutive years.

Warm hospitality: Richard receives a welcome gift from Mr. Sadahiko Oda (far left) - Chairman and CEO of Kagaya Hotels Corporation. The lady wearing the brown kimono is Mr. Oda’s wife.

Pledge of excellence: With Richard leading the way, everyone was invited to recite a declaration as a commitment to success.

Richard also revealed the exciting developments and incentives that the distributors can look forward to in the next few months. In addition, he officially launched an incentive in which the top 10 best performing distributors in terms of directs sales would have the chance to wine and dine with T. Harv Eker, the best-selling author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind – what a sweet delight to top off this memorable incentive!

International Rally 2008 Kuala Lumpur: Re-live the Excitement!

Hi! I'm very excited to share with you some photos from International Rally 2008. It's an annual gathering that honours our family members and top distributors from SkyQuestCom. It's like the Academy Awards that recognises the very best in our business. The rally was held at KL's famous Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa which travel writers hail as a "Resort-in-the-City". True to its famed reputation, it's one of the best venues in the world to stage a grand event. Let the photos speak for themselves:

What more can I say... truly a grand event! You should have been there!

Cultural dancers dazzling us with their glittering costumes and graceful moves. Encore!

That's me doing a celebratory dance of my own with some of our SkyQuestCom family members. They were such a fun lot!

Me and Roger Hamilton. Roger's a leading wealth consultant in Asia.

Steve Linder also took some time off his busy schedule to be with us. Steve's a peak performance coach with Anthony Robbins' companies. Thanks Steve.

That's me again. See the strobe ball? It's actually a special switch that reveals a hidden logo of SkyQuestCom on stage. High-tech stuff!

On stage with SkyQuestCom's top distributors from Singapore, Japan and China. Well done!

I truly believe that if we join our hands together and celebrate the multi-cutural world we live in, we can end all wars on this planet.

Hope you like the photos! If you want to see more, please click here >>

Pay It Forward - A Charity Project of SkyQuestCom

Hi!

I'd like to invite you to join me in a special charity project we have initiated with my company SkyQuestCom.

When someone has done something good to you, most of us want to return them a favour. However, most people don’t need the favour in return. So instead of returning a favour, those who have benefitted are asked to do something good to someone else instead.

The term originates from the movie, “Pay It Forward”. If you get an opportunity to watch the movie you will be touched by the heart-warming story it presents.

We have chosen a home for kids with HIV/AIDS in Chennai, India. The name of the home is "Shelter: Hope for Every One".

About Shelter

Shelter's aim is to provide love, laughter, and life to HIV-positive children.

  • Love - because most of these children have lost their parents and are longing for love.
  • Laughter - to take them through the difficulties of their situation.
  • Life - to give them a quality life for as long as they live with proper care, food, clothing and other needs.

The home is filled with HIV-positive kids and has 4 HIV-positive women as staff. 90% of the children have lost both parents. The rest have a single parent who is not in a position to take care of them because the parents themselves are in the back end of life.

Help the Children
Here are just a couple of examples of the different kinds of children with various degrees of problems and issues the shelter helps:

Suraj, 10 years old, has lost both of his parents and four of his siblings - he lost one elder sister, his two small brothers and one younger sister. Imagine the emotional trauma and difficulty this child has to face in seeing six of his family members dying in front of him. He came into the home on his last days, but with antiviral drugs, he is now stable.

Sita, a 7 year old girl, has multiple sicknesses in her brain. These cause convulsions or ticks. When she has an attack, froth will come from her mouth and she faints and needs to be attended to within 1 hour of the attack.

Senthil, an 8 year old boy, has skin infections from his head to his toes with open wounds all over his body. His mother wished he would die because she could not handle his suffering. She literally said "I am dropping you here and would be happy if you died." He is now doing well. He is smiling, he is going to school, and is one of the bubbly children they have in the home.

No financial support to help any more children
The shelter has had to turn down kids who need help because they do not have the financial support to take on any more children.

They do not currently have any support from the corporate sector, or government sector or international funding. The shelter is being run on an individual basis, but is a registered trust in India. Currently the shelter is only supported by friends, relatives and a few local individuals.

Finances are an added stress to the already present stress of taking care of these very sick and needy children.

They have difficulty finding proper schools for these children. If the kids have a fall or get sick, the shelter gets desperate calls from the school for them to come and take them. Emergency help from hospitals is difficult. Even simple issues like getting a haircut are difficult because they have boils all over their heads and it can stink quite badly. Barbers are not willing to come in and do a simple haircut.

There are also food issues; as some children have different dietary requirements and cannot eat the same things. Feeding them in front of others can be difficult because they may want certain foods that they cannot eat.

These kids go through a lot of emotional trauma in their lives and often don't know how to express themselves.

I'd like to encourage you to join us in this cause along with us:

How does Kuching, which means Cat come about?

Yesterday, I told you that I am in the beautiful town of Kuching in East Malaysia. Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak. The people here are kind and friendly. Kuching means cat in the local language. I have been here many times and I don’t see many cats around. I am determined to find out how the name came about.

I finished giving a talk to about 100 people who were looking to learn how to start an online business and make money online. I asked some of them to go to http://www.skyquestcom.com and http://www.preenroller.com to look at an example of a proven business system.

The last few days has been hectic for me. Today, my flight to Sibu is in the afternoon. For the first time, I have a few hours to myself. I took a walk along the Kuching River front. I am surprised by the beauty of the green environment. This river separating the north and the south called the "Sarawak River". I could see a spectacular view of a gorgeous mountainous background. There was an elderly gentleman sitting on the bench resting. He must have finished his morning exercise. I walked over to ask him how “Kuching” the name is originated.

He said that Kuching originated from the Chinese word "Gu Chin" which means harbour. Hmmmm .. that made sense since I am standing at the river front. This should be it. I smiled and was excited that I found the answer. If there is a will, there is a way, I said to myself.

I walked back to the hotel. The hotel bell boy cheerfully greeted me “good morning, Mr. Richard Tan” and he opened the glass door for me. I responded back“Gooooood morning Andrew” “By the way, do you know how the name Kuching was originated?” I took the opportunity to ask him. He said “Kuching is named after a lychee like fruit called Mata Kuching (Cat's eye).” “A fruit??, What about the Chinese word which means harbour”, I replied. “Never heard that nonsense before” He shook his head.

Back to square one.

Maybe I better go ask my MD, Yang Po, she seemed to know everything.
I have got to go check out the hotel room now.

Intellectual Property - almost stolen but all is well now

It was 9.15pm and I was in the Hyatt Hotel about 30 min, when Andy (my project leader for Clemen’s option trading) called me. He said Dr Clemen had stopped his seminar abruptly.

The reason was that there were 2 “competitors” in the room. These people also teach option trading and charge at very small fee. He did not want to carry on because he did not want them to “steal” his materials.

I knew Dr Clemen Chiang several years ago when he attended the Anthony Robbins seminar which was organised by Success Resources. He then went on to develop his interest in option trading and he became the leading authority in share and option trading in this part of the world, and regularly featured in newspaper, TV, radio and leading magazines. His passion went on to earn him a doctorate degree in financial strategy.

Last year he organized the world's first option trading championship and it was supported by the Chicago Exchange, New York exchange etc. What impresses me about Clemen is his drive, enthusiasm, energy and his passion. When you see him speak on the stage, you will feel the energy electrify the room. He is very disciplined and focused which is the key success factor for all financial traders.

"Stealing" of Intellectual Property is very common in Indonesia and China. It is also common in other developed countries as well whereby someone goes to attend a seminar by a world class speaker and then goes back to start teaching the material without acknowledgment or permission. They charge a much discounted fee and teach diluted content usually missing the key essence. What the world class speakers took years to develop was stolen and sold cheap. Many of the public will be cheated.

The current situation affected Clemen so much that he was emotionally not able to give his best. That is why he dismissed the class 2 hours early. He felt that he has the inclination to withhold his knowledge from the real participants with these “stealers” in the room. I could understand how he felt. I called the two “competitors” aside and requested that they take their money back and not turn up any more. There was no drama. One of them in fact is willing to sign a non disclosure and undertaking letter. The other is begging me to let him in the class too. They were really nice but I declined.

Clemen was happy. I am sure he will give his best tomorrow. My day ended at 1 am in the morning. I got to get up early the next day for a conference call with Jay Abraham.

Oh, before I go to bed, let me check the SkyQuestCom sales report from the PreEnroller system.

Wow .. a 300% increase in sales. Fantastic. Awesome .. You should check out the SkyQuestCom Product and the Preenroller. Now I go ZzzzZzzzz.

No More Room In Tokyo - Full house

It is now 1 pm, I have been looking forward to sharing with the people this afternoon except that I do not know what exactly I want to share. I asked Yang Po what was advertised and she told me that the people are expecting to learn more on business strategies to grow their current business. As I crystalised my thoughts in the taxi, Yang Po and Maiko were briefing me on the profile of this afternoon's participants. It just took only 20 min from the office in Hiroo to go to Shinjuku. I turned on my computer and gave a final touch to the powerpoint. I am excited and ready.

We arrived at the Park Hyatt Hotel. I was told that this hotel become famous because this hotel was featured in the movie "Lost in Translation", starring Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray.
Tom's sister and her team greeted us at the hotel conference room. Everyone seem to be anxious. I overheard that we have more than 300 participants and the conference room has only 200 seats. 100 people are expected to be turned away. I am not too worried because if it is like in other countries, not everyone will turn up. However in Tokyo, they are disciplined and very prompt. To accomodate 200 people, the room have to be packed with chairs and not even a single square foot of space is spared.

It is 2 pm, Maiko signaled to let the people in. Some have waited since the morning. The crowd strolled in orderly. In just a minutes, all the seats were taken but the people were still flowing in filling both the sides and then the back. No more seats. I felt a little sorry for those standing as I will be speaking for 2 hours. Then come to think of it, I will be standing for 2 hours too .. so it is ok lah.
I started by sharing Jay Abraham's 3 ways to grow your business and the lessons he taught in his US$25,000 program. I shared on Robert Kiyosaki's system and the velocity and speed of making money. Then I shared on how I used the above to create the SkyQuestcom Business. I demonstrated the PreEnroller where someone can see the potential of the business before they invest in it. I passionately believe that with this tool, you can now reach a global market in a blink of your eyes.

You can download the powerpoint that I presented from here later. I will give you the link.

The event ended at about 5 pm.

I am glad to see so many familiar faces coming to talk to me, especially Muratsu Tamaki, Mimura and many others.
